Shortly after tired Anne had jumped out of the train from Novi Sad to Jena she received a call. It was a lady from “The Federal Agency for Civic Education”, a quite popular institution funded by the German state. She told Anne: “We’ve chosen ‘Balkans, let’s get up.” for Youth Democracy Award. Now we have enough money for your projects and we will take part in a public presentation in May. We will tell all the politicians, stars and so on about you and show them pictures from the seminar!

WHAT DO YOU THINK about civic involvement on the Balkan?
Since I’ll (Basti) run a workshop on civil society on the Balkan, I have 2 questions. What does civic involvement on the Balkans mean for you? What do you think about it?
